The 1.1.19 Round series iron newel post features a single 11-7/8″ tapered knuckle ornament. This newel is solid wrought iron and is 1″ round on the ends. It uses the newel mounting kit for the one inch newel posts 16.3.33. This newel pairs with all round series balusters.

- Plan the newel location and height so the handrail meets it at the correct height (usually 34"–38" on stairs).
- Cut the newel to length if needed.
- Secure it with a newel mounting kit or lag bolts into solid framing. It must not wobble.
- Attach the handrail with a rail bolt or bracket, then fill and finish the holes.
