2 Rise Straight Gooseneck 6010 series = 7099 comes with mounting hardware & instructions This fitting is a two rise straight gooseneck. It is used at the top of the stairs, usually on a landing. It gives the handrail enough vertical rise to meet the newel at the top of the stairs.

  1. Measure the run from newel to newel or wall to wall along the pitch.
  2. Cut the rail and any fittings with a fine-tooth miter saw.
  3. Join fittings with rail bolts and glue. Sand the joints smooth.
  4. Fasten to newels or wall brackets every 4 ft or less, then stain or paint.
