The Bending 6010 Series Wood Handrail is designed for curved staircase applications. Like its straight counterpart, this handrail features a Colonial or slim style profile, widely recognized and used by builders nationally. It is adaptable to various home decor styles, making it a versatile option for different interior designs. This bending handrail is comprised of multiple slices, which facilitate bending to conform to the curves of a staircase. This feature makes it suitable for custom curved stair installations. The handrail is delivered free from knots and defects, ensuring a clean and consistent appearance. It is ready for staining, and we advise a light sanding before staining to eliminate any potential debris from the installation. The product comes in a variety of wood species, lengths, and styles, providing options for customization based on the requirements of the project. Additionally, it includes mouldings for the sides, which are essential for protecting the rail during the bending process. Like the straight version, the Bending 6010 Series also offers a full line of handrail fittings for different stair configurations. It is available for purchase in varying quantities, from single pieces to bulk orders for larger scale projects. 6010 Bending Handrail Measurements 2-3/8″ tall 2-1/4″ wide on top 1-1/2″ wide on bottom Available in the following construction styles and lengths: Non Engineered White Oak – 16 ft Engineered Red Oak – 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 & 20 ft. White Oak – 12 & 16 ft. Also available in wood species and sizes not listed here via custom order from the Amish woodmill partners.

  1. Measure the run from newel to newel or wall to wall along the pitch.
  2. Cut the rail and any fittings with a fine-tooth miter saw.
  3. Join fittings with rail bolts and glue. Sand the joints smooth.
  4. Fasten to newels or wall brackets every 4 ft or less, then stain or paint.
